Grief Over Parbhani Temple Accident PM Modi Expresses Sorrow CM Announces Financial Aid
A heart-wrenching accident took place in Parbhani district of Maharashtra on Saturday. Here, 5 devotees died when the roof of the Sabha Mandap in the Maruti Mandir complex collapsed, while more than 40 people were injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over this incident.
Prime Minister Modi wrote in a post on social media platform X that I am extremely saddened by the loss of life and property due to the wall collapse in Parbhani, Maharashtra. My deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this accident. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.
At the same time, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has expressed deep grief over the incident that took place at Hanuman Temple in Yashwadi in Parbhani district and has announced that the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the deceased.
Earlier, he wrote on social media platform I express my deep condolences to him. We share in the grief of his family.
The injured in this incident are undergoing treatment. Local administration officials are present at the spot and relief and rescue operations are going on at full speed.
According to the information, the accident occurred on Saturday afternoon when the slab of Hanuman temple fell in Yashwadi village of Parbhani district. So far, about 25 people have been rescued from this debris. The incident site is situated on Manwat Road, about 190 kilometers away from village Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Actually, the program of Kirtan and Mahaprasad was going on in the temple on Saturday. During this time a large number of devotees were present in the temple premises. At the same time, construction work was also going on in the temple. Meanwhile, due to the falling of the slab, there was screams and stampede in the entire campus. Police and health department teams immediately reached the spot and the rescue operation was started.
