Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and Sports Minister will do yoga in Delhi, 3 thousand people will support
Delhi: On the special occasion of 12th International Yoga Day, a grand yoga program is going to be organized in the country’s capital Delhi. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will lead the program to be organized under the theme ‘Yoga for Healthy Aging’ at the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Sunday. Bollywood actor and fitness icon Akshay Kumar will also join him in this special session.
More than 15,000 people will gather in sports institutions across the country
International Yoga Day will be celebrated on a very large scale across the country by the Sports Ministry. Under this, all the Sports Authority of India (SAI):
Regional Centers
National Centers of Excellence
SAI Training Centers
Yoga programs will be organized simultaneously in Khelo India institutes.
The Ministry expects a total of more than 15,000 people to attend the event including these various centers across the country. Apart from this, with the aim of promoting Yoga, National Sports Federation, State Sports Departments and Sports Universities will also organize various programs together.
3,000 people will participate in ‘Fit India’ program
Around 3,000 people are expected to participate in this ‘Fit India’ program to be organized in the capital Delhi.
Famous trainer Anshuka will give exercises
During the program, a special yoga session will also be conducted by famous yoga trainer Anshuka Parwani. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya issued a statement regarding the event, saying:
“Ever since the United Nations adopted June 21 as International Yoga Day following a proposal by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this annual event has evolved into a worldwide celebration of physical, mental and spiritual well-being.”
He further said that this important day brings together millions of yoga practitioners from different continents on one platform. Today yoga has gone beyond geographical boundaries and has become a completely global program.
