Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir arrive in Zurich, Switzerland on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Here he will participate in a very important diplomatic meeting to be held between Iran and America. The purpose of this conversation is to bring peace in the eyes of the world and take forward the old agreements.

Important discussion will be held in Bergenstock Resort

The technical level talks began at the Bürgenstock resort in Switzerland. This entire meeting has been called after the ‘Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding’ (MoU), which was digitally signed this week. Pakistan and Qatar are playing the role of main mediators in this entire process, while Switzerland is providing space as a neutral country.

Initially this meeting was to be held on June 19, but it had to be postponed due to increasing tension between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Now, on the first day of this meeting, an emergency session has been organized on the Israel-Hezbollah conflict, on which the representatives of America and Iran will talk first.

Key faces attending the meeting

Many big leaders and officials of the world have participated in this high-level meeting:

Iran’s warning and atmosphere of tension

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghai clearly said that Iran wants other countries to fulfill their responsibilities. He warned that if the promises were not kept, the entire agreement could be in jeopardy.

At the same time, Iran accused America of not following the agreement and talked about closing the Strait of Hormuz, although America denied these allegations. According to the latest news, Iran has started loading crude oil again after the US Navy lifted the blockade.

According to information received from the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Sharif will also meet separately with representatives of Iran, Qatar, Switzerland and America during this period. The main focus of this entire conversation will be Iran’s nuclear program and regional security.
