Bihar Jdu National Council Endorses Nitish’s Leadership

In the National and State Council meetings of JDU, many important resolutions were passed to strengthen the party organization, approving the election of Nitish Kumar as National President and appreciating the work of the NDA government in Bihar. In the State Council meeting, the election of Umesh Singh Kushwaha for the post of Bihar State JDU President was unanimously approved.

Working National President Sanjay Jha, Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Legislative Party leader Shravan Kumar, Minister Nishant Kumar, Minister Jama Khan and State Election Officer Ashok Kumar Munna along with senior party leaders, MPs, MLAs and State Council members were present in the meeting.

Minister Ashok Chaudhary moved a political motion, which was seconded by Minister Sheela Mandal, while the vote of thanks was moved by Shravan Kumar.

After the meeting, the party’s national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said on Sunday that the election of newly elected national president Nitish Kumar was approved in the National Council meeting. It was said in the political proposal that by willingly leaving the post of Chief Minister and taking the decision to transfer power, Nitish Kumar has presented a unique example of political purity, trust and cooperation.

The proposal claimed that in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, JDU contested 101 seats and won 85 seats, which is the best performance in the history of the party. In this, it was mentioned that comprehensive representation should be given to extremely backward, backward classes and Scheduled Caste-Tribe communities.

In the political proposal, employment generation, social justice and inclusive development were described as the main achievements of Nitish Kumar model. On international issues, the Iran-US ceasefire was welcomed and satisfaction was expressed over the efforts made towards bilateral resolution of the India-Nepal border dispute.

In the meeting, special emphasis was laid on further strengthening the organization. It was told that JDU’s membership has crossed one crore. It was decided to connect new members with the ideology of the party, organize training camps and seminars and make the social media cell more active at the district level.

The strategy to connect the youth with the party through digital mediums was also discussed. The National Council authorized National President Nitish Kumar to take decisions related to movable and immovable properties and trust of the party. Besides, he was also given the authority to make necessary amendments in the party constitution.

Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said that National President Nitish Kumar has appreciated the work of the NDA government led by Samrat Chaudhary, especially the implementation of Saat Nishchay Part-3.

He assured that he will devote more time to strengthening the organization and will participate in party programs in various states as and when required. In the meeting, Working National President Sanjay Jha described Health Minister Nishant Kumar as the future of the party and said that he can emerge as a capable leader in the coming decades.

At the same time, other leaders including Lalan Singh also praised the working style and leadership abilities of Nishant Kumar. Party leaders said that the NDA government is moving in the same direction as Nitish Kumar established the policy of good governance and development in Bihar.
