Through the ‘Per-Slide Caption’ feature, while uploading multiple photos (Carousel Post) on Instagram, you will get the freedom to write a separate caption for each photo or slide.
‘Per-slide caption’ feature?
Instagram has announced this feature on its official Creator Account with a very short and funny message “One toggle. That’s it.” After this new update, when you post multiple photos or videos at once, you get a chance to write different text related to that specific photo below each slide.
You will be able to write 7,500 words in a single post
With the arrival of this feature, a new trend of long-form writing i.e. writing long articles is going to start on Instagram. Instagram currently allows approximately 378 words (2197 characters) to be written in a caption. Since Instagram had already increased the number of slides in Carousel from 10 to 20, now with the facility to write a separate caption on each slide, you can share an entire story or blog of a total of 7,560 words in a single post.
easy to use
It is very easy and simple to use it. When you select multiple photos from your gallery and reach the final post screen, where Main Caption is written, you will see a toggle button for ‘Per-Slide Caption’. You just have to turn on that button. After this, you can swipe each photo and write a different and unique caption for it. When someone views your post and swipes through the photos, the caption below will also change. If you prefer the old method, you can also run a Common Caption by keeping this toggle off.
