Every Mahindra ICE, Electric And Hybrid SUVs Lined Up For Launch

We all know that Mahindra Automotive is the largest SUV maker in India, and recently it has also become the overall third-largest carmaker by volume in the country. Now, to make sure that it retains this position for a long time, the company is working on the launch of 15+ new SUVs for the Indian market. Now, without any wastage of your time, here are the details of all upcoming Mahindra ICE, electric, and hybrid SUVs in India.

Mahindra is currently working on the facelifted version of the Scorpio-N, and it is expected to launch around August 2026. The updated SUV will come offered with a revised grille, updated LED headlamps, new bumpers, and fresh alloy wheels. On the inside, it is expected to get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS. Engine options will continue to include the 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel. Most likely, it will be launched by August of this year.

Along with the launch of the Scorpio-N facelift, Mahindra will also launch the facelifted Scorpio Classic. As for the powerplant, it will continue to offer the same trusted 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, which comes paired with a manual gearbox.

Mahindra has already started testing the updated three-door Thar, and it is expected to make its official debut in the coming months. This time around, the SUV will feature similar styling elements as the Thar ROXX, which will include a revised grille, circular LED headlamps, LED DRLs, and updated bumpers. It will also get new alloy wheels and additional features as well. Engine options will remain unchanged and will include the same 1.5-litre diesel, 2.2-litre diesel, and 2.0-litre turbo petrol.

One of the most highly anticipated upcoming Mahindra SUVs is the Vision S. It will be based on the new NU_IQ platform, and this SUV will sit below the Scorpio-N in the lineup. It will feature a rugged, boxy design, which seems to have taken its inspiration from luxury off-roaders, including the Ford Bronco and Land Rover Defender. The SUV is expected to be offered with petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrain options. It will rival the Tata Sierra, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos, along with others.

Mahindra last year, at the NU_IQ event, also showcased the Vision X compact SUV. This model will be based on the same NU_IQ platform, and it is expected to replace the ageing XUV 3XO. It will feature a futuristic design with sharp edges and a feature-loaded cabin. Like the Vision S, the Vision X is expected to be offered with petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrain options.

Mahindra has commenced the road testing of the upcoming Born Electric SUV, the BE 07, in India. It will be based on the INGLO architecture, and it is expected to boast a design that will be very similar to the concept version that was showcased earlier. The SUV will most likely come offered with 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh battery pack options. Its real-world driving range is expected to be around 500 km. The BE 07 will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti eVitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella, Tata Harrier.ev, and others.

Mahindra is expected to soon introduce a new 70 kWh battery pack option on the BE 6. This variant will sit between the existing 59 kWh and 79 kWh versions. It will produce 242 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. As per reports, its claimed range will be around 600 km on a single charge. It is expected to become the most balanced variant in the lineup.

Along with the launch of the BE 6, Mahindra will also offer the same 70 kWh battery pack on the XEV 9E. This version will be offered with the same rear-wheel-drive electric motor, but it will produce 242 bhp and 380 Nm. It will offer a claimed range of around 600 km. With this new variant, Mahindra aims to bridge the gap between the lower and higher battery pack versions currently on sale.

To make the already popular Thar ROXX even more accessible to buyers, Mahindra is planning to launch this SUV with the 1.5-litre diesel engine offered with the three-door Thar. The new variant is expected to lower the starting price. It is believed that it could be offered with features such as a single-pane sunroof and alloy wheels. As for the design, it will remain the same as the higher variants.

Mahindra is also currently gearing up for the launch of a new pickup truck, which will be based on the Scorpio-N. It will replace the rear passenger section with a cargo bed. This lifestyle pickup will rival the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu V-Cross but will be priced much more aggressively to lure in new buyers.

Last year, Mahindra also showcased the Vision T concept, and it is expected to enter production in the coming years. It will be based on the NU_IQ platform and will feature rugged styling with strong off-road capability. Mahindra is expected to offer both ICE and electric powertrain options. Mahindra’s Vision SXT will be another very interesting lifestyle vehicle. It will be a modern pickup truck designed to compete with the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu V-Cross. It too will be based on the NU_IQ platform, and it is expected to come offered with multiple powertrain options and an AWD system. The launch is expected towards 2027-28.

After launching the ICE version of the Vision S, Mahindra is also expected to introduce an electric version. It will be based on the same NU_IQ architecture and will form an important part of the company’s future EV lineup. Testing of the production version has already begun, and more details are expected in the coming months.
