Amrit Bharat train ready in Gorakhpur, awaiting approval

The rake of the new Amrit Bharat train received by North Eastern Railway is completely ready. After the approval of the Railway Board, it can be run on the Gorakhpur to Delhi and Mumbai routes. At the same time, operation of Darbhanga-Khatipura Amrit Bharat Express is also starting from June 22.

Uttar Pradesh: Significant progress has been made in the direction of operating Amrit Bharat train from Gorakhpur. The new Amrit Bharat rake received by North Eastern Railway has been declared fit by the mechanical department. Now after getting the final approval from the Railway Board, the operation of new Amrit Bharat trains from Gorakhpur to Delhi and Mumbai is expected to start.

New Amrit Bharat rake ready, awaiting approval

The rake of the new Amrit Bharat train allotted to North Eastern Railway has been declared completely ready after technical inspection. After getting the approval of the Mechanical Department, this rake is currently standing at Nanpara and waiting to start operations.

The Railway Administration has sent a proposal to the Railway Board for one new Amrit Bharat train from Gorakhpur to Delhi and two to Mumbai. As soon as the approval of the board is received, the process of operating these trains will be taken forward.

Travelers of Purvanchal will get benefit

Gorakhpur is an important railway junction for millions of passengers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The operation of additional Amrit Bharat trains for major metros like Delhi and Mumbai is expected to provide better and affordable travel facilities to passengers.

Currently many Amrit Bharat trains pass through Gorakhpur, but Amrit Bharat service originating from Gorakhpur is not available yet. With the introduction of new trains, the travel of passengers of Purvanchal will become more convenient.

New Amrit Bharat Express will start from June 22

According to Sumit Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Eastern Railway, regular operation of the new 19725/19726 Khatipura-Darbhanga-Khatipura Amrit Bharat Express via Gorakhpur will be started from June 22.

This train will run six days a week. Its operation from Khatipura (Jaipur) will start from June 22 and from Darbhanga from June 23. A total of 22 coaches have been fitted in the train, which include Pantrycar, Sleeper and General Second Class coaches.

Train will pass through Gorakhpur

19725 Khatipura-Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express will depart from Khatipura at 10:30 pm and reach Gorakhpur at 3:55 pm the next day. After this it will reach Darbhanga at 12:55 pm via Kaptanganj, Narkatiaganj and Sitamarhi.

Whereas 19726 Darbhanga-Khatipura Amrit Bharat Express will depart from Darbhanga at 4:30 am and reach Gorakhpur at 2:05 pm. After this, it will reach Khatipura at 8:40 am the next day via Gonda, Lucknow, Kanpur and Agra.

Railway’s focus on Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat

Railways is continuously expanding the network of modern and high-speed trains. Vande Bharat trains are currently operating from Gorakhpur to Prayagraj and Patliputra. The number of modern trains like Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat is likely to increase on major railway routes in the coming times.

The operation of new Amrit Bharat trains will not only improve the travel time but will also provide better facilities to the passengers. Railway officials are hopeful that the proposed trains from Gorakhpur will get approval soon.
