FIFA World Cup: Spain defeated Saudi Arabia 4-0, Oyarzabal’s two goals helped the team reach the top of the points table.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Spain vs Saudi Arabia: In the Group H match of the FIFA World Cup 2026, Spain performed brilliantly and defeated Saudi Arabia 4-0. Young player Lamin Yamal and striker Mikel Oyarzabal played important roles in Spain’s victory. Yamal scored one goal and created several good chances, while Oyarzabal scored two goals.

Strong performance by Spain against Saudi Arabia

The Spain team, which played a goalless draw in the first match against Cape Verde, appeared in excellent form against Saudi Arabia. This was his first goal in the tournament. This goal boosted Spain’s confidence and the team continued to attack. Aymeric Laporte doubled Spain’s lead in the 30th minute of the match. Aymeric Laporte hit a header from Danny Olmo’s corner. The ball reached Oyarzabal inside the box and he converted it into the goal without making any mistake.

Oyarzabal scored the third goal

Just three minutes later, Spain scored another brilliant team goal. Mark Cucurella controlled the long pass over the Saudi Arabian defense brilliantly and advanced the ball forward. After this, Danny Olmo created a chance and passed the ball to Oyarzabal, who scored his second and third goal of the match for Spain with a brilliant volley.

Spain were in complete control after taking a 3–0 lead in the first half. At the beginning of the second half, coach Luis de la Fuente took Yamal and Oyarzabal off the field to rest them. Despite this, Spain continued to dominate. Spain got its fourth goal in the second half when Danny Olmo made a brilliant volley on the ball coming from a corner.

The Saudi goalkeeper blocked his shot, but the direction of the ball changed after hitting Saudi player Hassan Altambakti and went into his own goal. With this win, Spain has four points from two matches and the team has reached first place in the group.
