Delhi High Court strict on CAG audit, petition of power companies rejected

Delhi High Court has today rejected the petitions of power companies in which petitions were filed against the CAG audit. This decision of the High Court has been welcomed by Delhi Energy Minister Ashish Sood. He said in the matter that the High Court has today rejected the petition filed by the power companies to oppose the CAG audit. With the power companies going to the High Court to oppose the CAG audit, the truth of the nexus (collusion) going on between the previous governments, former Chief Ministers and the power companies has been exposed before the people of Delhi.

High Court strongly reprimanded electricity companies

The Delhi government presented the interests of the people of Delhi in the High Court with full political will and determination. The result of this is that the High Court rejected the objections of the power companies and reprimanded them and cleared the way for the CAG audit. Now the Lieutenant Governor will be able to hear the CAG audit.

Will fight till the last moment – Delhi Energy Minister

Our government is committed to expose this nexus of the former governments of Delhi and the former Chief Ministers of Delhi and the power companies and to provide uninterrupted electricity to the people of Delhi without any additional burden. We will continue to fight for this commitment till the last moment. The people of Delhi will not be allowed to bear any extra burden of even a single rupee in the form of increase in electricity rates.
