Big blast of BJP government in Bengal! DA increased to 34%, 1 lakh government jobs announced, 33% posts for women
Kolkata. While presenting the first budget of its tenure in West Bengal, the BJP government has made many big announcements for government employees, youth and women. While presenting the budget in the Assembly, Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta announced increase in dearness allowance (DA) and large-scale government recruitments.
Giving major relief to lakhs of employees of the state, the government has decided to increase dearness allowance from 18 percent to 34 percent. After this announcement, government employees and pensioners will get direct benefits.
In the budget, a big announcement was also made to fill the posts lying vacant for a long time in the education and police departments. The government has announced to start the recruitment process for a total of 70 thousand vacant posts including 50 thousand posts of teachers and 20 thousand posts of state police.
Apart from this, the Finance Minister said that the state government will make appointments on a total of 1 lakh government posts in the coming time. The special thing is that 33 percent reservation in these posts will be earmarked for women, which will promote women empowerment and employment opportunities.
Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta said that the government’s aim is to provide employment to the youth, strengthen the administrative system and increase the participation of women. Employment, education and administrative reforms have been given priority in the budget.
This budget of the BJP government, which came to power for the first time, is being considered as the roadmap for the development policy of the coming years. The announcement of DA increase and large-scale government recruitment is being considered as a big gift for the state employees and the youth preparing for jobs.
