He said that the scheme of Bhagwant Mann government to give Rs 1000 per month to a general woman and Rs 1500 to a Dalit woman is the world’s largest women empowerment programme. Arvind Kejriwal said on Twitter that on July 1, three months’ money will come to his account at once. Every general category woman will get Rs 3,000 and every SC category woman will get Rs 4,500. If there is more than one woman in a family, then every woman will get this honorarium. This is the biggest women empowerment program in the whole world.

It is noteworthy that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, during the Lok Milni program organized at Chanarthal Kalan of Fatehgarh Sahib constituency, had announced to send three months of money to the accounts of women at one go. During the programme, he had asked the women whether they wanted one thousand or one and a half thousand rupees every month or two-three months’ money at once. On this the women had demanded to give three months’ money at once. Accepting the demand of women, Bhagwant Singh Mann had said that now three months’ money will come into the accounts of mothers and sisters at once. On July 1, three thousand rupees will come into the account of a woman from the general category, while Rs. 4500 will come into the account of a woman from the Dalit community. If there is more than one eligible woman in a family, then everyone will get Rs 3 thousand or Rs 4500.

Bhagwant Mann had also said that women will not become rich by getting one thousand rupees, but it is to fulfill their small customs and needs. When a grandchild or daughter comes to visit, this money will come in handy for keeping money or a toy on hand or for carrying fruit from town when visiting them. This is completely a matter of respect for mothers and sisters. Every person is a king in his own home, but sometimes this respect is lacking financially, which is the duty of the government to provide.
