Lucknow, 22 June. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured due to the massive fire that broke out on Monday in a building located in Aliganj area of the capital Lucknow. At the same time, the Central Government has also announced to give Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50 thousand each to the injured.
It is noteworthy that in the afternoon, a massive fire broke out in a three-storey building, which also houses a gaming zone, software office and coaching institute. 15 people died in the accident, mostly students aged between 25 to 30 years. Seven other injured are undergoing treatment at KGMU Trauma Centre.
Medical Superintendent of KGMU Trauma Center, Dr. Amiya Aggarwal has confirmed the death of 15 children. He told a news agency, ’21 to 22 children have been brought. Five have injuries and have been admitted. Two children suffered injuries due to jumping. He has a back injury. He is being treated after getting a CT scan done. 15 children were brought dead. After doing the Panchnama, they will be sent to the mortuary.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the spot after the accident and took stock of the relief and rescue operations. Along with this, he reached King George Medical University and met the injured and their families and obtained information from the doctors regarding the treatment of the injured.
CM Yogi gave the information while posting on social media platform ‘X’. He said, ‘I visited the fire incident site in Lucknow and reached King George Medical University and met the people injured in this tragic incident and their families to inquire about their well-being. Also took information from the doctors about the treatment of the injured. Under the supervision of skilled doctors, proper treatment of all the injured is being done on priority basis.

He said, ‘The grief of the families who have lost their loved ones in this heart-wrenching incident cannot be expressed in words. The UP government stands with all the affected families with full sensitivity and commitment. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant peace to the departed souls and wish the speedy recovery of the injured. I have instructed the concerned authorities to provide immediate financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those who lost their lives untimely in this incident and Rs 50,000 to the seriously injured.
List of dead and injured
The names of the dead and injured in the accident have also been revealed. Those who lost their lives include Sagar, Nilesh, Anamika, Sanyam, Anucha, Sukhmani, Aditya Srivastava, Jyoti, Bhavishya, Abdul Rehman, Suraj, Bhajaan, Jayanil Chakraborty, Mohammed Ammar, and Sumalya. Whereas Jayant, Lovepreet, Mohammad Asif, Bhuvan Srivastava, Pankaj, Shailendra, Abhishek, Pankaj Joshi and Gaurav Kumar have been injured.
