Central employees’ bat-bat! 8th Pay Commission has intensified preparations to submit its report, how much will the salary increase?

8th Pay Commission Latest Update: A two-day meeting of the Eighth Pay Commission is going to start from today in Lucknow. In this meeting, face-to-face talks will be held with central employees, pensioners as well as employees and pensioners’ organizations of Uttar Pradesh region, representatives of Railways and Defense personnel. After this meeting, the next meeting of the Eighth Pay Commission is to be held on July 6-7 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha and on July 9-10 in Kolkata. Earlier meetings have been held in Delhi, Ladakh, Srinagar.

Meanwhile, officials of different central government employee organizations who are in touch with the 8th CPC (Pay Commission) team say that the government can release the 8th Pay Commission report by March 2027. He also said that the possibility of the report being implemented in the first half of 2027 cannot be ruled out, as the work on the new Pay Commission is progressing very fast.

Report likely by January 2027

With the pace at which the Eighth Pay Commission is currently visiting the state and taking suggestions from employee organizations, it can only be expected that the Commission can submit its report to the government before mid-2027 (May 2027). However, the final decision on this will be taken only after review by the Central Government. According to media reports, National President of All India NPS Employees Federation, Manjit Patel says that the 8th Pay Commission can submit its report before the announcement of the budget, i.e. by January 2027. However, employees may get the benefit of salary hike in April 2027 as it may take one to two months for the report to be approved by the government.

Deadline for suggestions and memorandum is over

Since then, the entire focus of the Commission is on preparing the report based on the meetings and the suggestions received in them. Manjeet Patel has further said that AINPSEF along with its partner organizations is in constant touch with the Commission. We are confident that the Commission will submit its report to the Central Government before the Budget 2027 and employees and pensioners can get increased salary and pension from April 2027.

How much will the salary increase in the 8th Commission?

At present, the minimum basic pay of Level 1 initial employees has been fixed at Rs 18,000. With the implementation of 3.83 fitment factor, the basic pay of these employees can easily jump to Rs 69 thousand. level 10 officers minimum basic pay Currently it is Rs 56,100 which can comfortably reach the level of Rs 2.15 lakh. Similarly, the basic pay of level 18 top officers will increase from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 9.6 lakh.
