Theft of Rs 20 lakh in Tej Pratap Yadav’s government residence, accused closest to him

A surprising incident related to Bihar politics has come to light. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former minister Tej Pratap Yadav has accused his own personal assistant (PA) of theft in the house. In this matter, he has lodged a complaint in the Secretariat police station of Patna, after which the police has started investigation. The matter is being told about the official residence of Tej Pratap Yadav located on Harding Road, Patna. The complaint states that a huge amount of party fund and some precious jewelery kept in the cupboard of his house were found missing. It is alleged that his close associate and personal assistant Motilal Rai may be behind this theft.

According to Tej Pratap Yadav, on the night of June 22, 2026, about Rs 20 lakh cash kept in the cupboard was not found. Apart from this, a gold chain weighing two tola and a gold ring were also missing. After coming to know about the incident, he immediately contacted the police and submitted a written complaint. The police have registered an FIR on the basis of the application and have started searching for the accused. Also, the entire matter is being investigated to find out the circumstances under which the cash and jewelery went missing and which people may have played a role in it.
