Many Nepalese citizens injured in Qatar gas plant explosion, 12 Indians lost their lives
Kathmandu. Many Nepali citizens have also been injured in the massive explosion that occurred on Sunday at the gas production center located in Ras Laffan Industrial Area of Qatar. A total of 13 people, including 12 Indians and 1 Pakistani citizen, were killed in this blast.
More than 66 people have been injured in this horrific accident. In which information has been given about the participation of people who had gone to work from Nepal.
Apart from Nepali citizens, the injured include citizens of Qatar, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and Nigeria. Treatment of all the injured is continuing. However, the name of the injured has not been made public yet.
Qatar’s Energy Minister Saad Al-Kaabi gave information about the deaths and injuries from the explosion at the gas plant. Nepali Embassy in Doha posted on social media platform X informing about the injuries of some Nepali citizens in the Ras Laffan incident.
The embassy has said that it has been informed about this by the Qatar administration. However, the embassy also clarified that the names of the injured have not been given yet.
The embassy quoted Qatari officials as saying that the condition of all the injured is currently stable and they are being given proper treatment.
Qatar’s Energy Minister Saad al-Kaabi described the incident as an accident and not an attack. “It is an accident, not any sabotage or hostile activity,” he said.
