In exchange for Pant, Delhi has traded Kuldeep Yadav with Lucknow.

Former Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant is ready to return to his old franchise Delhi Capitals, while Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav will play for Lucknow Super Giants next season. This trade between Delhi and Lucknow is one of the biggest player trades in IPL history. Pant suffered loss worth crores

Let us tell you, now before IPL 2027, Rishabh Pant has rejoined Delhi Capitals. He has joined DC at a revised price of Rs 15 crore. Due to this trade, there has been a huge cut in Pant’s salary. He has suffered a loss of about Rs 12 crore. Whereas Kuldeep Yadav is associated with Lucknow Super Giants at his current salary of Rs 13.50 crore.

Pant has captained Delhi

28-year-old star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has also captained Delhi Capitals. He captained the team in 43 matches in four seasons from 2021 to 2024. In the IPL 2025 mega auction, Lucknow included Pant in their team for Rs 27 crore. This was the biggest bid in IPL history. LSG had retained him in this amount for IPL 2026, but now Pant’s salary has been cut after the trade deal with DC.
