Big action in Bharat Tiwari encounter case, FIR lodged against police officers, mother’s allegations increase problems
The famous Bharat Bhushan Tiwari encounter case in Bhojpur district of Bihar has taken a new turn. An FIR has been registered in the case against police officers and soldiers on the basis of the complaint of the deceased’s mother Asha Devi. After this action, the eyes of political and administrative circles have been fixed on the entire matter. Bhojpur Superintendent of Police has confirmed that after investigating the application, a case has been registered against the concerned policemen at Shahpur police station. This includes the names of Jagdishpur sub-divisional police officer, the then Shahpur police station chief and other policemen.
Mother made serious allegations
Bharat Tiwari’s mother Asha Devi has made many serious allegations in her application. He says that his son was continuously raising his voice against the administration regarding the problems of flood affected and displaced families. According to Asha Devi, a large number of police officers and soldiers had reached her house on the day of the incident.
The police had asked Bharat Tiwari to accompany them. He alleged that his son had surrendered before the police and had also thrown away the weapon he was carrying during the Facebook Live. The family members claim that despite surrendering, the police caught him, threw him on the ground and later shot him.
‘Bullets fired on orders’
It has also been alleged in the complaint that the firing was done on the instructions of higher officials. Asha Devi has claimed that her son was shot several times, due to which he died on the spot. He said in the application that after the incident the police took him with them and the family was not given correct information for a long time. Later in the evening it was reported that Bharat Tiwari had died. After these allegations came to light, the sensitivity of the matter has increased further.
Five policemen have already been suspended
The administration has already taken preliminary action in this matter. So far five policemen have been suspended. The suspended officers include the then Shahpur police station incharge Rajesh Kumar Malakar, police sub-inspector Ankit Aryan, Harschandra Kumar, assistant sub-inspector Ramashankar Yadav and lady constable Meera Kumari.
The police department says that the matter is being investigated impartially and all aspects will be taken into consideration.
Increased stir in political and social circles
Bharat Tiwari encounter has already become a topic of discussion. Now after the FIR has been registered against the police officers, this matter has become more serious. The family is demanding justice, while various social and political organizations have also raised the demand for an independent investigation into the case. Due to the proposed Mahapanchayat and possible political reactions in the coming days, this matter may gain further importance.

After the FIR is registered, the biggest question now is what facts emerge in the investigation. If the allegations are found true then legal action can be taken against the concerned officials.
