PM Modi met President Murmu, is there going to be a cabinet reshuffle soon?
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday amid discussions about the reshuffle in the Union Cabinet. The President’s Office shared pictures of the meeting between the Prime Minister and the President on social media platform ‘X’. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan,” the post said.
This meeting, which took place just after the ceremony organized to confer Padma Awards, is important because the discussion about cabinet reshuffle is in full swing in the political circles of the national capital. Earlier in the day, senior Kerala BJP leader George Kurien resigned from the Union Cabinet after his Rajya Sabha tenure ended.
Kurien (65) was the Minister of State in the Ministry of Minority Affairs as well as Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. According to a release issued from Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Murmu has accepted Kurien’s resignation.
