Skoda Kodiaq RS Sold Out In 6 Minutes!
Skoda India started accepting orders for the much-awaited Kodiaq RS on June 22, 2026. The SUV will be brought as CBU (Completely Built Units) imports. The first batch has just 50 units. Skoda has just announced that all 50 units have been sold out in under 6 minutes. Customers had to pay Rs 3,00,000 as the booking amount. Interestingly, the milestone comes at a time when the ex-showroom price is still under the wrap. We expect it to fall in the ballpark of Rs 60 lakh.
The Kodiaq has become the first Skoda SUV to get the ‘Rally Sport’ (RS) badge in India. It has become the fastest Kodiaq yet to be introduced here.
The RS version has a more aggressive styling. It gets redesigned bumpers, larger air intakes, functional air curtains, a generous use of sporty Black trims, Matrix LED headlamps, a connecting light bar at the front that runs between them, multiple RS badges, and more. It rides on large 20-inch alloy wheels, shod with performance tyres. The brake callipers are finished in bright Red.
The SUV also has its roof rails, sideview mirror caps, C-pillar trims and window surrounds finished in Black. At the rear, you will notice a sporty spoiler and connected LED tail lamps with dynamic indicator lamps. The SUV is offered in four exterior colour options.

Inside, the Kodiaq RS has an all-Black colour scheme. Touches of Red can also be seen at various places. Seats, door pads, and several other places get Red contrast stitching. The front row gets sports seats with comfortable bolstering and integrated headrests. RS badges can also be found on these.
This SUV also comes equipped with features like a large 13-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, 13-speaker Canton audio system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, two 15-watt wireless chargers with cooling, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, powered tailgate, powered rear sunshades, 360-degree camera, level 2 ADAS, and other features.

The Kodiaq RS is underpinned by Volkswagen’s MQB Evo platform, shared with the regular Kodiaq and several other Volkswagen Group models. The suspension setup, however, is different. The kodiaq RS comes with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) Plus technology. It lets the driver choose between 15 levels of damping adjustments. It also has a progressive steering setup. As a result, the Kodiaq RS feels sharper and has good road manners.
This performance SUV is powered by a heavily upgraded version of the 2.0L TSI turbocharged petrol engine. It will make 261hp and 400Nm- roughly 60hp and 80Nm more than the standard Kodiaq’s output.
The transmission on offer here is a seven-speed DSG automatic unit. The vehicle also comes equipped with permanent All Wheel Drive (AWD) and can do the 0-100kph sprint in just 6.3 seconds. It even has a top speed of 231kph.
The braking hardware has also been improved on the RS version. It gets ventilated and slotted discs and larger two-piston calipers. These improve the overall braking performance significantly.
In India, the Kodiaq RS competes with the Toyota Fortuner and a slew of other SUVs. These include the Volkswagen Tiguan, Tayron R-Line, Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster and even the standard Kodiaq. We will get more clarity on this front, once the ex-showroom prices surface in the coming weeks.
