Patna Junction Viral Video: A video related to Bihar’s Patna Junction is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which an employee posted at the Railway Inquiry Counter is allegedly seen sleeping while on duty. It can be seen in the video that the employee is sitting on his chair with his eyes closed, while passengers are seen standing nearby to get information.
The job of the inquiry counter is to provide passengers with train timings, delays, platform numbers and other important information, but in the viral video, the staff present at the counter is not seen paying attention to the passengers.

Employee seen sleeping at railway inquiry counter
The video was shared on social media platform X, where a user demanded action from the railway authorities against the employee. The post claimed that an employee wearing a white shirt at the inquiry counter at Patna Junction was seen resting on a chair despite the presence of passengers.
As the video went viral, many social media users expressed their displeasure and said that passengers often need immediate information, especially in situations like train delay, cancellation or platform change. In such a situation, the responsibility of the employees posted at the inquiry counter increases even more.

Railways took cognizance of the matter
Railway Seva, the official grievance redressal platform of Indian Railways, responded after the issue became viral on social media. The railway service in its reply said that the matter has been brought to the notice of the concerned authorities and necessary action will be taken. However, at present it is not clear whether any disciplinary action has been taken against the employee or not.
This incident has once again sparked debate about service quality and accountability at railway stations. While some people on the internet demanded strict action, some users also made sarcastic comments on the incident. Many people believe that Railways needs to strengthen its customer service system to provide better facilities to the passengers.
