A book claims… US Vice President Vance had made a plan to send Indians to war, Trump rejected it as soon as he heard it
Washington. American Vice President JD Vance had prepared a plan to deploy Indian soldiers in the Ukraine War. If this had happened then the lives of many Indians would have been at stake in this war. Vance had also proposed this plan to US President Donald Trump. However, Trump rejected it outright as soon as he heard it. Trump clearly said that India will never be ready for this. This claim has been made in a new book released recently. It is claimed that Trump had immediately rejected JD Vance’s proposal to send Indian soldiers to Ukraine as peacekeepers.
The book ‘Regime Change’, which reveals the inside stories of the Trump administration, was released on June 23. There is mention of a very secret meeting in the Oval Office. A high-level meeting was called in the Oval Office on January 30, 2025, just 10 days after Trump was sworn in for his second term. In this meeting, Vice President JD Vance suggested that Indian or Saudi Arabian soldiers should be deployed as peacekeepers to monitor the ceasefire in Ukraine.
What did Trump say?
However, Trump did not pay any attention to this statement of Vance. According to the book, Trump, upon hearing of the plan, said, “The Indians won’t do it. They’ll never pay for it.” It has been written in the book that when India’s name came up, Trump’s attitude was as always frank. Trump definitely admitted in the meeting that his relations with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are very excellent.
Trump said, “Prime Minister Modi likes me very much and he wants to come here.” But soon after, Trump said, “Will Indians ever agree to such a thing?” Trump further said that if Britain or France want to send their troops there, then they have no problem, provided there is no financial or military burden on America. Let us tell you that so far 49 Indians have died in the Russia-Ukraine war. Recently the Central Government has given this information to the Supreme Court. The government reported that a total of 217 Indian citizens had joined the Russian army. Of these, 139 Indians have been released from contract and 49 have been confirmed dead in this war. Apart from this, 6 Indian citizens are still missing and the status of 23 others is not clear.
Why was JD Vance afraid of sending NATO troops?
Actually, this entire meeting was called by Trump’s special envoy, retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg. He presented a draft named ‘An America First Plan: Trump’s Historic Peace Deal for Russia-Ukraine War’. Under this plan, America does not officially recognize Russia’s occupation of Ukrainian land, but Ukraine will also not try to take it back. There was a suggestion to deploy troops from European countries like France, Britain and the Netherlands on the ground to stop the war.
However, Vance expressed strong objection to this plan. His argument was that deploying troops from NATO countries in Ukraine would be a direct provocation to Russia. This can increase the tension so much that America will also be directly dragged into this war. For this reason, Vance had suggested the names of countries outside Europe like India and Saudi Arabia, which Trump rejected.
