Indian Embassy issues new advisory – advises Indian citizens to avoid traveling to Iran

Tehran, June 24. In view of the current situation in Iran, the Indian Embassy has issued a new advisory for the citizens of its country. Despite recent improvements, Indian citizens have been advised to avoid traveling to Iran.

The Indian Embassy in Tehran shared a new advisory on social media platform ‘X’ on Wednesday. It was written, ‘The Indian Embassy is closely monitoring the current security situation in Iran. In view of the recent positive developments and overall improvement in the situation, the Embassy is issuing this revised advisory for Indian nationals planning to visit Iran.

“Despite recent improvements, Indian citizens are advised to avoid all non-essential travel to Iran until further orders,” the advisory said. Indian nationals currently residing in Iran as well as those who may have to travel to Iran for urgent work are advised to exercise utmost caution, remain alert at all times and continuously monitor the situation. They are also advised to closely monitor local developments from reliable sources and follow all instructions issued by local authorities.

The Indian Embassy said that all Indian citizens present in Iran and people visiting Iran are advised to register their information with the Indian Embassy in Tehran as soon as possible. They are also advised to regularly monitor the Embassy’s official website and social media platforms for updates and any further advisories issued.
