New Delhi, June 24. Indian Railways is making rapid efforts towards increasing the number of Vande Bharat trains equipped with modern facilities. In this sequence, Railways has planned to start Vande Bharat Sleeper train on nine new routes including Mumbai-Delhi. Actually, Vande Bharat sleeper trains are designed for long distance travel, which are more comfortable for night travel.
According to media reports, Railways is ready to expand the Vande Bharat sleeper train network, in which talks are going on to run trains on 9 new routes. This also includes the Delhi-Mumbai route, which is considered to be the busiest rail corridor in the country. After the introduction of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train, the travel time can be significantly reduced.
Proposal to run Vande Bharat sleeper train on these routes
The new routes on which Railways has planned to run Vande Bharat Sleeper Train include, apart from the New Delhi-Mumbai route, New Delhi-Ahmedabad, New Delhi-Howrah, New Delhi-Chennai, New Delhi-Secunderabad, New Delhi-Pune, Mumbai-Ahmedabad and New Delhi-Srinagar. However, Railways has not yet officially confirmed these routes. These are the currently proposed routes on which there is high demand for passengers and they connect big cities.
Vande Bharat sleeper train has already got approval on Mumbai-Bengaluru route.
It is noteworthy that Vande Bharat Sleeper train has already been approved on Mumbai-Bengaluru route. Recently, the first look of the first AC coach of Mumbai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Sleeper train was revealed. With premium interiors, modern cabin and superior amenities, this train has already created excitement among rail enthusiasts and frequent travellers.
