Will PM Modi go to Tehran? Iran’s President sends invitation for Khamenei’s funeral, world’s eyes fixed on it

Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian Invites Narendra Modi: The schedule of Khamenei’s funeral program in July has been revealed. Iranian President Massoud Pejeshkian has invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend Khamenei’s funeral. Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a US-Israeli airstrike in February.

Now his funeral will be held in July, to attend which Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian has sent a formal invitation to PM Narendra Modi. Khamenei’s funeral program will run from July 4 to July 9.

The world’s eyes are on India

However, it has not been revealed yet whether PM Narendra Modi will attend Khamenei’s funeral on Iran’s invitation or not. At this time, the eyes of the whole world, especially America, are fixed on India. All eyes are on PM Modi’s decision whether he will go to Tehran to attend the funeral or send any of his representatives to attend the ceremony.

Three days public holiday announced in Iran

A three-day public holiday has been declared in Iran during this period. A farewell ceremony and prayer vigil for Khamenei’s body will be held at Tehran’s Grand Moselle on July 4 and 5, and a procession will take place on July 6.

There will be a holiday in Tehran on July 4 and 5 during the funeral ceremony of Ali Khamenei. So there will be a holiday on 6th July across the country. Around 2 crore people are expected to attend this farewell ceremony. A program to pay tribute has been organized in Qom city of Iran on 7 July.

According to the information received, the body of Ali Khamenei will be buried in his birthplace Mashhad on July 9. Meanwhile, Iran’s neighboring country Iraq has also scheduled celebrations for July 8.
