New Delhi. A major accident has occurred due to the collapse of the roof shed of an under construction warehouse on Transport Depot Road in Taratala police station area of ​​Kolkata. There are reports of many laborers being buried under the debris. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police and administration team reached there and started the rescue operation. It is being told that when this accident happened, about 50-60 laborers were working there. So far, 6-7 laborers have been rescued from the debris and taken to hospital, out of which the condition of some of them is said to be critical. At present three people have been confirmed dead. Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari himself reached the spot and took stock of the relief work.

Teams of Kolkata Police, Disaster Management Group, Civil Defence, Fire Brigade along with local people are also engaged in relief and rescue work. Efforts are being made to remove the heavy iron beams with the help of a crane. All the top officials are present on the spot and are keeping an eye on the rescue operation. It is being told that the sounds of many people screaming can be heard from the debris. NDRF team has also been called there to speed up the rescue work. A large crowd of people is gathering near the incident site. According to eyewitnesses, many people are trapped under the debris. It is feared that this accident may have happened due to rain.
