Iran enraged when America attacked missile-drone sites

Tension in the Middle East has once again reached dangerous levels. Following a drone attack on a merchant ship in the Strait of Hormuz, the US launched retaliatory air strikes on several military bases in Iran. Iran’s first reaction has emerged immediately after this action. Iranian MP Ibrahim Azizi launched a scathing attack on America, saying that by attacking in the midst of talks, America has proved that it neither cares about talks nor a ceasefire.

Iranian MP Ibrahim Azizi wrote on social media, ‘America once again attacked Iran during negotiations. The failed US President has shown that he has no commitment to the principles of dialogue or ceasefire. As always, this reckless violation of the ceasefire will ultimately lead to retreat and regret for America. Now the blame game will not work.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that on June 25, the Singapore-flagged cargo ship M/V Ever Lovely, passing through the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of Oman, was attacked by a one-sided attack drone. According to CENTCOM, in response to this, on June 26, the US Army took military action against Iran and targeted several targets.

According to the US military, in retaliation, airstrikes were carried out on Iran’s missile and drone storage facilities as well as coastal radar sites. CENTCOM claimed that the attack on the commercial ship was completely unjustified and a clear violation of the armistice agreement.

CENTCOM said U.S. forces will continue to coordinate with allies to ensure the safe passage of all commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. America says that its military is fully alert and deployed in the entire region to ensure compliance with the agreement with Iran.

Britain’s military has also confirmed that a container ship was hit by a projectile off the coast of Oman. According to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), no injuries have been reported in the incident.

Amid increasing tension, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has currently stopped the evacuation of ships stranded in the Persian Gulf. The IMO says the evacuation will not resume until the safety of other ships in the area can be ensured. According to IMO Secretary General Arsenio Dominguez, about 115 ships have left the strait in recent days, while about 500 ships are still in the area.
