6.2 magnitude quake jolts northeastern Afghanistan; tremors felt across north India

Islamabad/New Delhi: A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck northeast Afghanistan Saturday, according to seismic monitoring agencies.

Tremors were felt in the northern parts of India, including in Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi-NCR regions.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake struck 43 km south of Jurm in northeastern Afghanistan.
