A big step has been taken towards making Bihar a leading state in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The state government has started preparations to partner with several leading tech companies to develop an AI ecosystem.

Patna: The Bihar government has taken an important step towards making the state a leader in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital innovation. Many important proposals were approved in the state cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, among which the plan to develop AI based ecosystem in Bihar was prominent.

The government aims to promote modern technology in the state, strengthen digital infrastructure and implement artificial intelligence based solutions in various sectors. Under this initiative, partnerships will be formed with leading technology companies at global and national level, which is expected to give a new direction to technological development and innovation in Bihar.

Technical partnership to develop AI ecosystem

The Department of Information Technology has decided to enter into Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with several leading technical institutions for cooperation in the AI ​​sector. These partnerships aim to increase the use of artificial intelligence in the state, make digital services more effective and ensure access to modern technology to citizens.

The government believes that AI-based solutions can bring significant change in sectors such as agriculture, health, education, transportation, tourism, financial services and public service delivery. This will increase transparency in the implementation of government schemes and improve the quality of citizen services.

Youth and students will get technical training

Under the new policy, special training programs will be started for government officials, technical staff and students. It is planned to develop AI related courses in engineering, polytechnic and medical institutions, so that the young generation can acquire skills to suit the technological needs of the future.

Apart from this, trainers will also be trained in modern technologies. Researchers and academicians will be provided necessary resources and support to promote AI research in Indian languages ​​and local dialects.

Startups and employment will get a boost

The government believes that AI based initiatives will play an important role in strengthening the startup ecosystem of the state. Special focus will be given to attracting investment, encouraging innovation and creating new employment opportunities in collaboration with technology companies. According to experts, if AI based projects are successfully implemented, Bihar can make its mark among the emerging technology hubs. With this, the youth of the state can get new opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship at the local level.

Rural employment scheme also got approval

The Cabinet has also approved the formation of a new Employment Guarantee Council with the aim of increasing employment in rural areas. Under the new system, a target has been set to provide wage based employment to eligible rural families for 125 days in a financial year. The government says that this initiative will strengthen the rural economy and increase livelihood opportunities. The Council will advise the Government on matters relating to implementation, monitoring and grievance redressal of the scheme.

Announcement of big investment for tribal education

The Cabinet has also approved construction of residential hostels for students belonging to Scheduled Tribes and Extremely Vulnerable Tribal communities. Under various schemes, new hostels will be established in many districts, where students will be provided accommodation, food and quality education facilities.

The aim of this move is to provide better educational opportunities to students from remote and deprived areas and reduce social inequalities in the field of education.
