The Vivo X Fold 6 represents a historic shift for Vivo’s X Fold series, which has historically used Qualcomm silicon. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Editionan overclocked version of MediaTek’s flagship chipset, marking the first time the X Fold series has departed from Qualcomm processors while maintaining top-tier performance.

The 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery is a game-changing feature that significantly outpaces competitors like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 (which has 4,400mAh battery) and addresses one of the biggest limitations of foldable smartphones — battery life. The silicon-carbon technology enables higher energy density while maintaining a thin profile, allowing Vivo to pack massive capacity without making the device excessively thick or heavy.

The 8.02-inch inner display uses Samsung’s advanced M14 luminescent materialdelivering exceptional brightness up to 5,000 nits peak — one of the brightest foldable displays available. This ensures excellent visibility even in direct sunlight and provides vibrant colors for content consumption, gaming, and professional photography work.

The camera system is marketed as a “foldable mini DSLR” featuring a 200MP main camera with the large 1/1.4-inch Samsung Isocell HPB sensor and f/1.68 aperture, paired with CIPA 4.5 level image stabilization. The device includes a 50MP Sony LYT-602 Zeiss APO-certified periscope telephoto camera and supports the Vivo Zeiss Teleconverter G2 lens with 200mm focal length, bringing professional DSLR-style telephoto capabilities to a foldable smartphone.

The device features IP58/IP59 water and dust resistancewhich is superior to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7’s IP48 rating but slightly below Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s IP68. The phone comes in four color options: Blue Hole (inspired by deep-sea blue sinkholes), Salt Lake, Polar Nightand Black Gold (exclusive to the 16GB/1TB top storage tier).

The Vivo X Fold 6 has launched exclusively in Chinawith no confirmed global release date yet. India launch details and pricing remain unannounced, though the device is expected to carry a premium price tag of approximately ₹1.5-1.6 lakhs when it becomes available globally.
