Horrific road accident in Mirzapur: Two cousin sisters died tragically in collision with DCM, uncle seriously injured

Mirzapur: A heart-wrenching road accident came to light on Thursday afternoon near Dagmagpur intersection of Padri police station area. A speeding DCM truck hit three people riding a bike. In this horrific accident, two cousin sisters died tragically on the spot, while their uncle is seriously injured. The incident happened when all three were going to collect medicines on bike.
Key Points: How and where did the accident happen?
Victim’s family: Bholanath, a resident of Lachha Patti village of Dehat Kotwali police station area, was going to Sategarh to get medicines for his two nieces Sangeeta (19 years) and Amrita (3 years) on a bike.
Place of collision: As soon as the bike reached Dagmagpur intersection of Padri police station area in the afternoon and started crossing the road, a speeding DCM truck coming from Chunar towards Mirzapur on the Varanasi-Mirzapur National Highway hit them hard.

Heartbreaking scene: The collision was so severe that both the sisters were thrown away and got hit by the wheels of the truck. Both of them died on the spot due to excessive bleeding.
Chaos in the hospital: After the accident, with the help of local passers-by, everyone was taken to a private hospital in Chunar, where doctors declared both the sisters dead. Treatment of injured uncle Bholanath is going on. As soon as the news of the accident was received, there was mourning in the village and family.
Police action: Vehicle seized, case registered
As soon as information about the incident was received, Padri police station chief Pradeep Kumar Singh reached the spot with the police force. The police have taken both the bodies into their custody and sent them for post-mortem.
Police have seized the DCM truck that caused the accident. A case has been registered by Padri police under the following sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) under case crime number 180/2026:
