Major road accident in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, trailer fell into 20 feet deep ditch in Danuva Valley.

Ranchi: The news of a major road accident has come to light from Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand on Thursday. Let us tell you, in Danuva Valley located on National Highway-19 under Chauparan police station area, a speeding trailer went out of control and fell into a ditch about 20 feet deep below the road. After this accident, there was chaos in the area and people nearby immediately reached the spot.

The rescue lasted for two hours

According to eyewitnesses, there was a loud noise as the trailer fell into the ditch. The accident was so serious that the front part of the vehicle was badly damaged and the driver was trapped inside the cabin. As soon as information about the incident was received, Chauparan police station, National Highway Authority (NHAI) ambulance team and local villagers got involved in relief work.

The rescue team had to make a lot of efforts to pull out the driver because it was not easy to reach the driver trapped in the damaged cabin. After the rescue operation that lasted for about two hours, the driver was taken out safely by cutting the cabin with the help of gas cutter and other equipment.

The seriously injured driver was immediately rushed to Chauparan Community Health Centre, where doctors provided first aid. Due to his critical condition, he was referred to Hazaribagh Sadar Hospital for better treatment and his treatment is continuing under the supervision of doctors.

Why did the incident happen?

Local people say that Danuva Valley has been notorious for accidents. Sharp turns, steep slopes and sometimes excessive speed of vehicles in the valley cause accidents. The villagers allege that they have repeatedly asked the administration and related departments to strengthen the security arrangements, but till now no permanent solution has been made.

Demand raised to take concrete steps for security

Chauparan police station in-charge Pankaj Kumar said that the cause of the accident is being investigated. While preliminary information has revealed that the vehicle was out of control, however, the real reason will become clear only after the investigation is completed. After the incident, local people have reiterated their demand for additional safety measures, warning signs and concrete steps to prevent accidents in the valley.
