In the caption of a photo of Andrea shared on Instagram on Friday, June 26, Hector wrote, “You will always be our favorite hero, Mommy. I will make sure that our daughter remembers how good you were, how much you loved her.”

He further said, “I will tell her the story of how you saved her, how you gave your life for our daughter, what a brave woman you were, who never left her even in your last breaths.”

7.2 magnitude earthquake in Venezuela

According to the US Geological Survey, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck Venezuela, which was immediately followed by a magnitude 7.5 earthquake, a “severe seismic doublet sequence.” It is believed that this incident is the biggest earthquake to hit the South American country in more than a century.

Death toll increased

Venezuela’s top lawmaker said in an update on Saturday that at least 1,430 people died in two devastating earthquakes this week. Rescue teams are working rapidly to find survivors. Efforts are becoming difficult due to lack of heavy machinery and continuous aftershocks.
