SP MP and MLA openly clashed in front of Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow! National President himself came to intervene
A very shocking news is coming out about Samajwadi Party (SP) in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. The file of factionalism and discord that has been smoldering within the Moradabad SP unit for a long time has finally reached the court of party national president Akhilesh Yadav. During an important meeting held in Lucknow, flamboyant MP from Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency Ruchi Veera and MLA from Kanth assembly seat Kamal Akhtar openly came face to face with each other.
In the presence of the SP chief, both the senior leaders opened up a host of complaints against each other. During this, there was a heated debate and altercation between the two parties, to calm down which Akhilesh Yadav himself had to intervene. Rajya Sabha member Javed Ali, former city MLA Yusuf Ansari, SP District President Jaiveer Singh Yadav and MP representative Khushnood Ali were also specially present in this high-profile meeting.
MP Ruchi Veera made big allegations against the organization, said- ‘I am being ignored continuously’
As soon as the meeting started, MP Ruchi Veera directly attacked the leaders of the local organization. He alleged in front of Akhilesh Yadav that some big officials of Moradabad SP organization are continuously ignoring him. Expressing his displeasure, he said that in many government and non-government programs of the party held in the district, neither his picture is included in the posters or banners nor he is invited respectfully.
MP Ruchi Veera further said that Metropolitan President Iqbal Ansari does not even put my photo on any public occasion. Apart from this, there are many leaders who neither invite me to their personal programs nor give me preference. Giving a recent example, he said that he was not even invited to the big ‘PDA conference’ organized in Moradabad Dehat assembly constituency. The MP said in a warning tone that due to this ongoing tussle within the party, the leaders of the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have got a big opportunity to speak openly against the SP.
Leaders clash with each other in front of Akhilesh Yadav on the issue of calling him ‘outsider’
While talks were going on with the SP chief, MP representative Khushnood Ali directly accused MLA Kamal Akhtar of spreading factionalism within the party. Kamal Akhtar also did not remain silent on this and he retorted and said that you should not speak in this matter, you yourself are a resident of Bijnor. On this ‘outsider’ statement of Kamal Akhtar, Khushnood Ali immediately replied that you too have come here from Amroha and become MLA in Moradabad.
MP Ruchi Veera also jumped into the debate, defending her representative. He told the MLA in strong words that Khushnood is like a member of his family, so do not say anything wrong about him. On this issue, a heated argument broke out between MP Ruchi Veera and MLA Kamal Akhtar right in front of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.
‘Well, I am bad, then why don’t you have good relations with other MLAs?’
During the debate, MLA Kamal Akhtar told MP Ruchi Veera that I have not talked to you since the voting of Lok Sabha elections. You are unnecessarily putting all the blame on my head, which is not right at all. Kamal Akhtar sarcastically said that let’s assume for a moment that I am bad, but why are your relations with other MLAs not good?
As far as being invited to the PDA conference of Moradabad Dehat is concerned, I have been in-charge of the SIR there, hence the metropolitan unit had invited me. If a local leader is not putting your photo on the banner, what can I do about it? Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha member Javed Ali, present in the meeting, while handling the matter, said that I was invited as the chief guest in that program.
Akhilesh Yadav started laughing after listening to the words of both the leaders, big action will be taken against the culprits
The interesting thing was that when both the leaders were referring to Amroha and Bijnor by calling each other ‘outsider’, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav could not stop his laughter and started laughing loudly at the talk of both of them coming from outside and getting elected in Moradabad. However, later after explaining deeply to both the leaders, Akhilesh Yadav took a tough stand. He said that I have understood the entire matter and the arguments of both the sides very well.
Akhilesh Yadav asked many tough questions to SP District President Jaiveer Singh Yadav on the spot. He also sought information whether official permission was taken from Lucknow headquarters for the PDA conference held in Moradabad Dehat or not? No local leader present in the meeting could give a concrete answer to this question. The SP chief said in a clear tone that the entire matter will be thoroughly investigated and whoever is found guilty of factionalism, such strict organizational action will be taken against him that it will be clearly visible to all the leaders. After this decision, it is believed that some big officials of the organization will also be punished.
This internal discord in Moradabad has now become a big challenge for the Samajwadi Party which is busy preparing for Mission-2027. In the coming days, the decisions taken by the high command after the investigation report will decide how the party calms this big controversy.
“National President Akhilesh Yadav had called us to Lucknow, where other senior leaders of the party were also present. We have put the entire incident and all our complaints before him in detail. He listened seriously and assured that a fair investigation will be conducted. Strict organizational action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.” — Ruchi Veera, MP, Moradabad
“MP Ruchi Veera had some misunderstandings at the local level. We have presented our stand clearly before the National President. He has given strict instructions to all the leaders to completely forget their mutual differences and start preparing for Mission-2027. Whatever decision the party leadership takes, it will be followed with full devotion. For us, the organization is paramount.” — Kamal Akhtar, MLA, Kanth (Moradabad)
