In view of the increasing rush of passengers between North-South India, Indian Railways has decided to run a special train (01925/01926) between Kanpur Central and Madurai in the month of July. This will provide relief to the passengers of Bina, Bhopal and Itarsi stations of Bhopal division.

Apart from this, in view of the rush of passengers in the upcoming festive season, Northern Railway has extended the operating period of many special trains till July-August. These trains were initially supposed to run till the end of June. Besides, East Central Railway has also decided to extend the operating period of special trains. This will benefit the passengers of Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Kanpur Central–Madurai Special Schedule

• Train No. 01925 Kanpur Central – Madurai Special will depart from Kanpur Central at 08:10 am every Wednesday from 01 July 2026 to 29 July 2026 for a total of 05 trips and reach Madurai at 7:15 am on Friday.
• Train No. 01926 Madurai – Kanpur Central Special will depart from Madurai late night every Saturday from 04 July 2026 to 01 August 2026 for a total of 05 trips and reach Kanpur Central at 04:30 am on the third day.
• There will be stoppages at Pokharayan, Orai, Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi, Lalitpur, Bina, Bhopal, Itarsi, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Ballarshah, Sirpur Kagaznagar, Ramagundam, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Tenali, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Dindigul.

These special trains have been expanded

• Ranchi-Anand Vihar Terminal Special (02877) will operate every Saturday from 4th to 25th July.
• Anand Vihar-Ranchi Special (02878) will operate every Sunday from July 5 to July 26.
• Santragachi-Ajmer Weekly Special (08611) will run every Monday from 6th July to 28th September.
• Ajmer-Santragachhi Special (08612) will operate every Thursday from 9th July to 1st October.
• Train number 09447 Ahmedabad-Patna special will run from Ahmedabad on July 1 and train number 09448 Patna-Ahmedabad special will run from Patna on July 3.
• Train number 09151 Udhna-Madhubani special will run every Wednesday and Friday till 31st July. 09152 Madhubani-Udhna special will run every Friday and Sunday till August 2.
• Train number 09031 Udhna-Hassanpur Road Special will run every Sunday till 26th July and return 09032 Hasanpur Road-Udhna Special will run every Tuesday till 28th July.
• Train number 09343 Dr. Ambedkar Nagar-Patna Special every Thursday till 30th July and return 09344 Patna-Dr. Ambedkar Nagar Special will run every Friday till July 31.
• Train number 09025 Valsad-Danapur Special will run every Monday till 27th July and 09026 Danapur-Valsad Special will run every Tuesday till 28th July.
