In the case of honor killing of a young man over a love marriage dispute, Special Judge (SC/ST) and Additional Sessions Judge Devendra Prasad Mishra have sentenced six accused to life imprisonment. This case continued in court for eight years. After hearing all the witnesses and parties, the court gave its verdict. The girl’s family was not happy with this marriage and they killed the young man. The young man’s wife and another witness retracted their statements, but the court pronounced the sentence on the basis of other evidence.
The court has sentenced Arun Bhalse, Shivram Bhalse, Rahul Panwar, Sonu Dange, Rajesh Moye and Vishal Khedekar to life imprisonment for murder and seven years rigorous imprisonment for attempt to murder.
According to the prosecution, in the year 2018, Tejkaran had a love marriage with Rinki Bhalse. Angered by this, Rinki’s family members and his associates attacked Tejkaran with knives, due to which he died during treatment. Monu, who came to intervene, was also fatally attacked.
During the trial, the deceased’s wife Rinki and the injured Monu retracted their statements, but Additional District Public Prosecution Officer Mrs. Aarti Bhadauria made an effective plea on the basis of other evidence and eyewitnesses. The court, considering the available evidence as credible, convicted all the accused of murder and attempted murder.
