Owen Cooper discusses ‘Spider-Man’ successor rumours sparked by Tom Holland
Adolescence famed Owen Cooper has finally addressed the rumours of playing Spider-Man in the future.
The 16-year-old actor recently appeared at the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he was asked there are many people who want him to play the Spidey guy and so what is his opinion over it.
Fallon admitted that he personally believed Cooper would play an amazing Spider-Man.
Owen added, “In like 10 years’ time. Maybe. But that’s like everyone’s dream as a kid. So, like I’ve seen this on TikTok, it’s like everyone thinks I expected to play Spider-Man but I was like, ‘No, that’s not true.”
However, he confessed that playing the titular character has been his dream since he was a kid, so he is expecting it, but he wanted to be it.
Owen also confessed that he is a big Tom Holland fan.
It is pertinent to mention that his statement came a few days after Holland said that he thinks Cooper would be an “amazing successor” of Spider-Man after he steps down from the role.
The 30-year-old actor is nowadays busy promoting Spider-Man: Brand New Day along with Zendaya.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the action sci-fi is set to release on July 31.
