Irfan Sheikh’s father said that this is his only way to communicate with his son even though he is no longer in this world. Everyone in the family writes to him about the happenings of their daily life on WhatsApp. He believes that these messages must be reaching him somewhere. They have recharged the child’s mobile number once again to keep it active.

An emotional Irfan’s father said that even today it is difficult for him to accept the fact of his son’s demise. After the accident, they were given the child’s belongings in a box in the autopsy room. His clothes, belt, socks and other things were safe in it. However, as the post-mortem report mentions that his body was completely burnt, many questions still linger in his mind.

On June 12, 2025, an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight from Ahmedabad Airport to London went out of control moments after take-off and crashed into a medical college hostel in Meghaninagar area. All but one of the 242 passengers on the plane died in this horrific accident. Also, 19 people on the ground also lost their lives in this accident. This is considered to be the worst plane crash of the last decade.
