Why is the body aging before age? Shocking study reveals reason for increase in cancer at young age

Cancer Risk: Doctors have paid special attention to one thing in the last few years that earlier cancer was considered a disease of old age, now its cases are increasing rapidly even in people of 30 to 40 years of age. Why after all? A new study recently published in Nature Journal answers this question. According to this research, the body of today’s young generation is biologically aging faster than before and this change can increase the risk of cancer at a young age.

Who knows when this danger starts increasing?

Referring to this study, a cardiologist wrote on social media platform X that the age of the body is now determined not only by the date of birth but also by its internal condition. That is, the greater the difference between your actual age and the biological age of your body, the greater will be the risk of disease. In the research, blood samples of more than 1.54 lakh people from UK Biobank and health data of more than 10 thousand people from America’s All of Us Research Program were analyzed. Scientists compared people born in the 1950s with people born from 1965 to 1974 and the 1990s. The results found that the rate of biological aging in the new generation is much faster than the previous generation.

What is the difference between biological age and actual age?

According to research, the greater the difference between the biological age of the body and the actual age, the greater the risk of cancer. The study also found that people whose immune systems appeared older than their actual age had a higher risk of developing lung cancer at a younger age. At the same time, people whose fat tissue was aging rapidly were seen to have a higher risk of colorectal cancer.

Experts say that DNA damage in the cells of the body is a normal process with increasing age. But if this damage starts happening rapidly, the body starts aging prematurely. This can happen due to many reasons like poor diet, obesity, smoking, pollution, lack of physical activity and lack of sleep.

Can this be slowed down?

The fact is that biological aging can be slowed down to a great extent. Experts recommend exercising regularly, eating a balanced diet, maintaining a healthy weight, avoiding smoking and getting enough sleep. Researchers believe that if these high-risk people are identified at an early age, the risk of cancer can be reduced through timely screening and prevention.
