Mirzapur. The annual election meeting of Bariaghat Shri Ramlila Committee Wasliganj Mirzapur was held late evening on Sunday, June 28, at the Satsang Bhawan located in Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple. Founder member of the committee, Akshayvar Nath Kesarwani was present as the election officer, before whom patron member Satish Chandra Saraf proposed Mrs. Ritu Kesarwani for the new president, which was unanimously accepted by the people of the committee and welcomed with thunderous applause.

Along with this, Santosh Omar was unanimously made General Secretary for the third time and Ravindra Kumar Gupta was elected as Treasurer. On this occasion, outgoing president Amresh Chandra Mishra, former president Gaurav Omar, Vivek Baranwal, Ramashankar Jaiswal, Amit Srinet along with Shatrughan Keshari welcomed the newly elected president Ritu Kesarwani and garlanded the newly elected president Ritu Kesarwani and welcomed General Secretary Santosh Omar and Treasurer Ravindra Kumar Gupta by presenting a flower bunch.


On this occasion, founding member Achhaywar Nath Kesarwani said that the fair has been organized for more than five decades. Mrs. Ritu Kesarwani has been elected as the woman president of Bariaghat Ramlila Committee for the first time in the history of Mirzapur. Newly appointed President Mrs. Ritu Kesarwani, who is a symbol of strong women power, said that this time with the cooperation of Panchmukhi Mahadev and all of you, the work of organizing the famous Bariya Ghat Mel of Purvanchal will be done in a more grand manner in which everyone’s cooperation and company will be expected.
