‘Lied in Parliament about Operation Sindoor’ Rajnath Singh should resign for insulting martyrs: Congress
Colonel (retired) Rohit Chaudhary, head of the ‘Ex-Servicemen Department’, said – A motion for breach of privilege should be brought in the Parliament against the Defense Minister.
New Delhi. Congress on Monday said that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has insulted the martyrs by lying in Parliament regarding ‘Operation Sindoor’ and in such a situation he should resign from the post. Colonel (retired) Rohit Choudhary, head of the party’s ‘Ex-Servicemen Department’, also said that a breach of privilege motion should be brought in Parliament against the Defense Minister and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP should apologize to the public.
The names of six army personnel who were martyred in the line of duty during ‘Operation Sindoor’ in May 2025 have been inscribed on a wall of the National War Memorial. Officials said that for the first time after this operation, the government has officially made public the names of six martyred army personnel.
Citing a statement given by Rajnath Singh in Parliament in July last year, Chaudhary said, the foundation of the Modi government is based on lies, it has no right to be in power. The country is asking why it took 13 months for the names of our martyred soldiers to come out? This is playing with national security.
He alleged that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has insulted and ignored the martyrs of ‘Operation Sindoor’. Singh lied in the House that no soldier was injured in ‘Operation Sindoor’.
He said, when Rajnath Singh was lying in Parliament that no soldier was injured, BJP MPs were clapping. None of them has the right to sit in the House. Chaudhary said, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has insulted the country’s army and soldiers, we demand his resignation.
