New Delhi, June 29.From July 1, 2026, many important rules related to the lives of common people are going to change. Changes in Aadhaar updates, passport fees, car prices, credit card rules and LPG cylinder prices will come into effect with the start of the new month. These decisions can have a direct impact on the pockets of common people and their daily expenses.
Email update in Aadhaar will have to be done for free
Giving relief to the people, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced that there will be no charge for updating email ID in Aadhaar card from July 1 to December 31. Earlier a fee of Rs 75 had to be paid for this service. The aim of this initiative is to encourage people to update their Aadhaar information from time to time.
Getting a passport will be expensive
This change is important for people planning to travel abroad. The government has decided to increase passport fees.
1-The fee for normal passport has been increased from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500.
2-The fee for Tatkal passport will be increased from Rs 3,500 to Rs 5,000.
3-The new rates will become effective from July 1.
Cars of many companies will be expensive
An increase in prices will also be seen in the auto sector. Many major vehicle manufacturers have announced to increase vehicle prices from July 1.
1-Tata Motors (Passenger Vehicles): Increase by 1.5%
2-Motors (Commercial Vehicles): Increase by 2.5%
3-BMW: up 2%
4-MG motor: up to 3% increase
5-Kia India: Increase by 2%
If you are planning to buy a new car then it can be beneficial to buy before July 1.
There will be changes in credit card rules also
Changes in credit card rules of many banks will also come into effect from July 1.
1- SBI Card has changed the rules of reward points available on some selected PhonePe SBI Credit Cards. Some transactions will no longer have the same rewards facility as before and new limits will be applicable.
2- HDFC Regalia Gold Credit Card holders will now get free domestic airport lounge access a maximum of three times per calendar quarter. However, to avail its benefits, it will be mandatory to spend at least Rs 60,000 every quarter.
LPG cylinder prices will also be monitored
On the first of every month, oil marketing companies review the prices of LPG cylinders. In such a situation, changes in the prices of domestic and commercial gas cylinders can be announced on July 1. However, the new rates will be officially announced at the beginning of the month.
What will be the impact on common people?
These changes, which will be implemented from July 1, will directly impact the pockets of common citizens. While free Aadhaar updates will provide relief to people, increased passport fees and vehicle prices may add to additional expenses. Apart from this, credit card users will have to plan their spending and rewards according to the new rules.
