Traders Welfare Day celebrated in Bijnor, excellent taxpayers honored

Bijnor. In compliance with the instructions of District Magistrate Jasjit Kaur, under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer Ranvijay Singh, the birthday of Danveer Bhamashah was celebrated with grandeur as Traders Welfare Day under the joint aegis of State Tax Department and Industry Department in the Collectorate Auditorium on Monday afternoon.

Addressing the program, Chief Development Officer Ranvijay Singh said that as per the instructions of the state government, celebrating Traders Welfare Day on the birthday of Danveer Bhamashah is an important initiative towards the respect and welfare of traders. He said that Bhamashah was a great philanthropist who had a historical contribution in nation building.

Appealing to the traders, he said that all the traders should ensure to pay their taxes on time. Honesty and transparency in tax payment strengthens the country’s economy, which gives impetus to development works and public welfare schemes. He said that the role of traders is very important in the progress and prosperity of the country.

During the program, the 10 highest tax paying businessmen of the district were honored by the State Tax Department by giving them Bhamashah mementoes and certificates. Besides, a check of Rs 10 lakh was also given to the beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Merchant Accident Insurance Scheme.

On this occasion, the representatives of the trade association put forward their problems and suggestions before the Chief Development Officer, who listened to them seriously and assured that the district administration will always be committed to solving the problems of the traders.

Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Anshika Dixit, Deputy Commissioner (Administration) of State Tax Department Sanjay Singh, Deputy Commissioner Industries Amit Kumar along with Vikas Kumar Agarwal, Zulfukar Alam, Munish Tyagi, Nitin Agarwal and many industrialists and businessmen of the district were present in the program.
