New Delhi: Akanksha Chamola turned emotional on the latest episode of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, days after publicly revealing that she and actor Gaurav Khanna are heading for divorce. The television actress broke down on the reality show, describing the announcement as a “life-changing” and “devastating” secret.

Akanksha breaks down on the show

During the third episode, Akanksha spoke about the emotional burden of revealing her personal life on national television. Fighting back tears, she said it was not easy to disclose such a major development in her life and that viewers would understand its significance once they learned the truth.

She described the revelation as deeply personal and emotionally overwhelming before breaking down in front of the other contestants, who stepped in to comfort her.

Confirmed separation from Gaurav Khanna

At the show’s premiere, Akanksha had revealed that she and Gaurav Khanna have been living separately for the past year and are in the process of ending their marriage.

Despite the separation, she clarified that there is no bitterness between them. According to Akanksha, the two continue to remain on good terms but eventually realized they were not compatible as life partners because their future goals no longer aligned.

Nine-year marriage comes to an end

Akanksha Chamola and Gaurav Khanna got married in November 2016 after reportedly meeting during an audition. The couple had often been regarded as one of television’s popular pairs.

Gaurav, who is currently participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, has not yet publicly commented on Akanksha’s statements regarding their divorce.
