8 Bangladeshi citizens arrested in Tripura, fear of big conspiracy; Shocking revelation made during interrogation
Agartala. In a major action, Tripura Police arrested eight Bangladeshi nationals from Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport area of Agartala on Sunday evening. All of them are accused of illegally entering the Indian border and trying to travel further by air. The police are investigating the matter thoroughly.

An official of the airport police station said that the police had earlier received a strong intelligence input. According to the information, four Bangladeshi citizens were planning to enter Tripura illegally and flee the state through the airport. Based on this input, the police increased surveillance in the airport and surrounding areas and initially arrested four suspects.
After interrogation, another group was also caught
When the first group was strictly interrogated by the police, they also gave clues about their other associates. Acting quickly on the basis of this information, the police arrested four more Bangladeshi citizens near the airport. In this way the total number of arrests has increased to eight.

Preliminary interrogation has revealed that all the eight arrested Bangladeshi nationals were planning to go from Agartala to some state in South India via Kolkata. The police have produced all the accused in the local court and sought permission to hand them over to police custody for further questioning.
