Thunderstorm alert for next 6 days in many states including Delhi-NCR, know how the weather will be today

New Delhi: There is news of relief for the people suffering from heat in North India. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of light to moderate rain and strong winds for the next six days in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and surrounding areas. With increased activity of monsoon, the temperature will drop, which will give people relief from the heat.

The mercury will drop by 5 to 6 degrees in Delhi-NCR.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a major change in the weather in Delhi within the next 24 hours. However, on June 30, the effect of heat may be visible in some areas due to the movement of clouds. But along with this, there is also a possibility of rain and thundershowers. Between July 1 and July 4, rain activities will intensify in Delhi and surrounding areas.

Warning issued for Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana also

A warning has also been issued for Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. Apart from Delhi, heavy rain is also expected in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in Punjab and Haryana on July 1 and 2. At the same time, in cities like Noida and Ghaziabad of West UP, there may be heavy rain till July 1 and then on July 3-4. There is a possibility of monsoon showers in eastern Uttar Pradesh on June 30 and July 4. Along with this, an alert of heavy rain along with dust storm has been issued in the eastern and western parts of Rajasthan.

Storm crisis in hilly states

While rain is coming as a relief in the plains, the Meteorological Department has warned to remain alert in the hilly states.

Jammu and Kashmir

There is an alert of strong winds blowing at a speed of 60 km per hour, lightning and storms till July 4.

Uttarakhand and Himachal

There are chances of heavy rain in Uttarakhand on June 30 and July 2-3. There is a possibility of rain with cold winds in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla and Uttarakhand’s Dehradun, which will make the weather here pleasant.

‘Red alert’ and speed of monsoon in Northeast India

According to IMD’s monsoon update, within the next 2 to 3 days, monsoon will advance rapidly into remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal and Rajasthan. On the other hand, ‘Red Alert’ has been issued in view of the possibility of extremely heavy rains in Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 5 days. In the next few days, the states of North India will get complete relief from the humid heat.
