‘Petrol sellers should immediately reduce their prices’, Trump gives strict warning to petrol sellers

US President Donald Trump, while sharing a post on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’, has warned the country’s petrol sellers to immediately reduce prices. Trump has said that despite falling crude oil prices, people are not getting the benefits, which will not be tolerated.

President Trump wrote in his post, “Petrol sellers should immediately reduce their prices. Prices are too high, with oil now at $68 per barrel and falling. Sellers should immediately take notice and do what is right, lower prices for our great American people!”

“Prices cannot be increased arbitrarily”

Trump further said, “Prices cannot be raised arbitrarily, it is completely illegal. If sellers do not do this, there will be big trouble ahead. Try to get the price down to $2.50 per gallon and California should not tax gasoline so high. Soon the tax will exceed the price of gasoline and America will not tolerate it, and neither will the people of California.” “Those who are troubled by these absurd taxes and their own government will tolerate it.”

US-Iran talks will be held in Doha

Meanwhile, Trump’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will meet with Iranian negotiators in Doha on Tuesday. This conversation is taking place after the firing between the two sides over the weekend, due to which once again questions are being raised on the ceasefire agreement between them. Trump said in a post on ‘Truth Social’ on Monday that Iran has requested a meeting, which will be held in Doha on Tuesday. However, he did not give any details about the agenda of the meeting.

White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt told the media that special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will visit Doha this week to discuss the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two sides. “As far as we are concerned, we are abiding by the ceasefire. Violence will be responded to with violence,” Levitt said.
