While talking to a news agency in Bhopal, Punjab Kings cricketer Shashank Singh clarified the allegations of assault and misbehavior with a staff member. To this, Shashank Singh said, “No, we had not taken him hostage… It is true that he had come as a cook, but he was not a cook at all. He did not know how to cook; he had just come to have fun, take videos and photos and also enter my room… Since he was doing such things, I suspect that he had come with the intention of stealing. We are very lucky that in the investigation so far nothing has been stolen…”

The cricketer further added, “It’s true that he had home videos and photos on his phone, so my mother made him delete them because they were too personal… The police have not contacted us yet. When we caught him taking photos and videos, my sister suggested calling 100. But she pleaded, and I let her… Maybe someone would make such allegations against me…” He added, “I believe that anyone who knows me Well, he knows it’s impossible for me to even think about abusing, so I certainly couldn’t do anything like that. I don’t think I need to explain it.”
