The problem of people stealing offerings in Ram temple has increased! 14 days jail, now no lawyer will fight the case
The controversy over theft of offerings in the grand Ram temple of Ayodhya does not seem to be stopping now, rather it is getting bigger with each passing day. Ayodhya Police has taken a major action after a thorough investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed in this high-profile case. The police have arrested a total of eight accused related to the case. After appearing in the court, all these accused have been sent to jail (judicial custody) for 14 days.
Meanwhile, another very shocking twist has come to light in this entire incident. The local Faizabad Bar Association has taken a historic and tough decision of not fighting the case of these accused of theft in Ram temple in the court. The association has also issued a strict warning to all its members and lawyers. Under this, if any lawyer of the association breaks this rule or is found advocating on behalf of the accused, then a heavy fine of Rs 5 lakh will be imposed on him. Not only this, the lawyers have also demanded the senior officials of Ram Mandir Trust, Champat Rai, Anil Mishra and Gopal Rao, to leave Ayodhya immediately. Lawyers say that this theft incident has hurt the sentiments of crores of Ram devotees, hence the association has collectively taken this tough step.
Lawyers united and took a big decision not to fight the case
A very important meeting of Faizabad Bar Association was held on Monday, in which deep concern and displeasure was expressed over this shameful theft in the donation of Ram Temple. In this meeting, a unanimous resolution was passed that no local lawyer would provide legal help to these accused. The association made it clear that any member who goes against this collective decision and takes up their case will be imposed a financial penalty of Rs 5 lakh.
‘Champat Rai and Anil Mishra should leave Ayodhya within three days’
During this meeting, the lawyers got angry not only at the accused but also at the management of Ram Mandir Trust. The lawyers have demanded in a very strong tone that the chief officials of Ram Mandir Trust Champat Rai, Anil Mishra and Gopal Rao should leave the holy land of Ayodhya within the next three days.
While talking to the media, Bar Association Secretary Shailendra Jaiswal said in clear words that the news of theft in the sacred donations and offerings of the temple has deeply hurt the faith of the general public and the devotees. This is the reason why the lawyers of Faizabad have come together and taken this big decision of not fighting the case on behalf of all the arrested accused. He made it clear that this historic decision has been taken officially only after the full consent of the President and the General Assembly of the Bar Association. After this decision, the stir in the political and legal circles of Ayodhya has intensified.
