Netflix Renews Popular TV Show for ‘Bigger and Better’ Season 2
A popular Netflix crime drama has been renewed for Season 2. The TV show has been renewed just a month after its premiere and is created by Courtney A. Kemp and Tani Marole.
What Netflix TV show has been renewed for a “bigger and better” Season 2?
Netflix’s Nemesis arrived last month on May 14, 2026, and has been renewed for Season 2. The show revolves around two men with opposite personalities. One character is a criminal named Coltrane Wilder, played by Y’lan Noel, while the other is a police detective, Isaiah Stiles, played by Matthew Law.
According to the official Season 1 synopsis, Nemesis follows “the story of two men on either side of the law, the tale of what happens when an unstoppable force (an expert criminal) meets an immovable object (a brilliant police detective). What starts as a crime series amped with thrilling life-or-death stakes and explosive action drives deeper to explore family, marriage, and personal identity— that which drives us, sustains us, and ultimately destroys us.”
Following the news of renewal, co-creator and executive producer Tani Morale expressed his excitement while hyping up the next season. “Season two, we’re very grateful to have it… We’re going to make sure those questions get answered — and even more questions are available for you to answer… Make no mistakes, season two is going to be bigger and better.” Chris Selak and Philipp Barnett are also serving as the executive producers on the project.
Upon its premiere, Nemesis impressed most critics and currently holds a solid 76% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Besides Noel and Law, the series also includes Cleopatra Coleman, Tre Hale, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jonnie Park, and Ariana Guerra. Gabrielle Dennis, Michael Potts, Sophina Brown, Cedric Joe, and Jeff Pierre also play key roles.
Guest stars on Nemesis include Moe Irvin, Quincy Isaiah, Jay Reeves, Mike O’Malley, and Stephanie Sigman, among others.
Netflix’s Nemesis Season 2 has yet to receive an official release date.
