Malfunction in Delhi Metro, Blue Line services disrupted

Delhi Metro, which is called the lifeline of Delhi, suddenly malfunctioned on Tuesday, after which thousands of passengers got stuck at various stations. The fault has occurred on the Blue Line of the Metro. Services were affected between Anand Vihar and Vaishali stations due to a technical glitch on Tuesday evening.

 

Due to the malfunction in the metro, crowds of passengers have gathered at many stations. A huge crowd of passengers was seen at Yamuna Bank station, due to which the passengers got disturbed.

DMRC also gave a statement

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has also given a statement on this. DMRC said in a post on social media platform ‘X’ that services on all other lines were running normally.

DMRC said, ‘Due to a technical glitch between Anand Vihar and Vaishali, train services on the Blue Line are running delayed from 5:21 pm onwards.’ Earlier on Monday morning, train operations on the Violet Line were also disrupted due to signal failure at the Central Secretariat station.

However, Delhi Metro rectified the technical glitch after services on the Blue Line were disrupted for about one and a half hours. Giving information at 6:57 pm, DMRC said that normal services have resumed on the Blue Line.
